For many years Mr. Reuland had the honor to serve the People of New York as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, where he was assigned to the prestigious Homicide Bureau.

There, he successfully prosecuted hundreds of felony defendants and conducted several dozen felony trials as first-seat counsel. He has additionally argued numerous appeals before the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals, the highest court in New York, and has served as Special Assistant to Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.

In a legal career spanning nearly two decades, Mr. Reuland has dealt with almost every conceivable type of felony, including, capital murder, murder, manslaughter, negligent homicide, attempted murder, robbery, burglary, larceny, arson, rape, assault, gang assault, and narcotics.

Prior to joining the District Attorney, Mr. Reuland worked for many years in the litigation departments of two major Wall Street law firms, where he handled matters as diverse as antitrust, securities, and international and commercial litigation in both state and federal court.

He is admitted to practice in all New York state courts along with the federal district courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Reuland studied law at the first-tier Vanderbilt School of Law, where he graduated near the top of his class and earned numerous scholastic awards and honors in addition to serving as Executive Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. He also took an advanced degree in international law from Cambridge University in England, where he served as Editor-In-Chief of the Cambridge Review of International Affairs.

A oft-cited expert in the law of international jurisdiction, Mr. Reuland has published several articles in leading law reviews. He has appeared on Court TV, NY1, and Dateline. In 2001 he was named one of New York Magazine’s top young lawyers. Mr. Reuland is a twice-published novelist, commercial pilot and flight instructor, and he is honored with inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law.

Mr. Reuland is a member of the Kings County Criminal Bar Association, the New York County Criminal Bar Association, Cambridge in America, and is a past member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Litigation and International Litigation Committee as well as the American Society of International Law and the International Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
